You are warmly invited to come along to our Guild Open Day on Saturday 23rd April in the County Buildings in Wigtown from 10:30am – 4:00pm.
The Guild is commited to the preservation and improvement of craftsmanship in hand weaving, spinning and dyeing and our open day is a fantastic opportunity to come along and engage with our skilled members who will be demonstrating these traditional skills.
You will be able to see a wide range of the tools used in both the preparation and execution of the crafts and talk to our experienced members about the processes involved.
As well as demonstrations, there will be an of exhibition of work, a display of tools of the trade, a sales table where you can buy finished goods, lovingly created by skilled artisans.
We are also holding a raffle and will be serving teas, coffee and cakes.
The venue has a lift and accessible toilets, admission is free and all are welcome!
Really looking forward to Saturday; not least to buy wools for my own textile art creations. Also interested in any future workshops and opportunities for learning from others.
