Wigtown Show has come and gone once more. What began as a beautiful, sunny day developed into a cloudburst, which meant that some of the entertainments had to be curtailed or cancelled. A great shame after all the hard work. The Guild Stand was well attended, and we had a lot of visitors.
The raffle for last year’s project raised £50, which was duly donated to PIRSAC in Port William and we have received a lovely letter from them thanking us for our donation.
The theme for the show this year was the 100-year celebration of women’s suffrage; all the show judges were female, and in the spirit of the thing our volunteers proudly wore sashes of green, white and purple. Even Sawn Shaun got his own sash!
Great presentation!
