Welcome

The Wigtownshire Guild is a sociable group that meets on the first Monday of each month at the Church Hall, Glenluce between 10 am and 3 pm.

We have a programme of workshops and demonstrations given by external speakers and by experienced members of the Guild. Tea and coffee are provided, and members bring a packed lunch.

Come and join us

Visitors and new members are always welcome. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced crafter why not join us? The charge for visitors is £4 per meeting. The annual subscription is £35 (2024 rate) plus £2 per meeting to cover the rental of the hall.

We encourage all members and guests to bring along their finished spinning, weaving or dyeing projects to share as we can guarantee an appreciative audience who truly value the labour and love that goes into a unique hand crafted piece of work.

Wigtown Spinners

A “spin off” from the Guild, this informal group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Baptist Church in Wigtown between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Come along to chat, work on your own projects, exchange ideas, and learn new skills. Of course, weavers, knitters or just chatters are also welcome at spin off
